You guys might think I’m overhyping him a little bit, but Luka Doncic is one of the best players in the NBA right now. He has come into this season ready to show out, and he has done exactly that so far. In 14 games so far this season, he is averaging 29.9 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 9.4 assists per game. He just recorded back-to-back 35+ point triple-doubles, and has the most triple-doubles of any player before turning 21.
After his rookie season, many people (including myself) compared him to a young LeBron James. He has the ability to score the ball efficiently, rebound, and set his teammates up for easy shots. He has a RIDICULOUS 32.3 PER this season, and he is only going to get more incredible as we go along.
Because of his statistical dominance so far this season, as well as the fact that Dallas is currently 9-5 and holding onto the 5th seed in the West, I think it’s safe to say that Luka Doncic is a top-10 player in the NBA right now. And even if he’s not, he certainly will be soon.
